Today the first year students completed different research projects to do with the environment. They worked very hard throughout the day. Some of their projects included:
* Measuring electricity use
* Growing vegetables
* Cleaning/Filtering water
* Studying and identifying leaves
* Measuring trees
* Recycling and painting boxes
* Recording the temperature
* Making paper

It is very easy to make your own paper. Just follow these simple steps:
1. Break down used milk cartons.
2. Soak the paper in water, then split it into layers.
3. Mix in a blender with a little water and coloured paint.
4. Place in a tray, flatten and remove the water.
5. Dry outside in the sun.

The environment in Japan is very beautiful, so please remember to always look after it by doing simple things like recycling, saving water and planting trees.
